“He’s every production’s dream.”

Hello.

Creative. Development. Director.

With my foundation in film and television, I have always been driven by the power of good storytelling. It can entertain, provoke, alter opinions, and even behaviours.

From the conceptual stages to production and crafting the finished piece, I love playing a pivotal role in developing ideas to their most effective and beautiful conclusion.

My background has made me proficient in finding the most engaging elements of a story or theme, before drawing on my knowledge of production processes and visual techniques to ensure my creative vision is clearly defined.

It’s all about the story.

I’m a filmmaker at heart, and believe that an idea is only big enough if it translates well across all potential touch points. Being a fully integrated Creative Director, I consider and mould all aspects of a production, be it film, TV, or long-form branded content. It only works if it all works. The most important rule however, is that the ideas are simple, relevant and unexpected.

My knowledge of production, pre to post, has held me in good stead. As well as my abilities to craft original work, the benefits of being able to foresee the needs of the production, as well as those of writers/directors/artistes, has always been noted and utilised, resulting in a smoother process and ultimately better work.

As a calm and strong leader, I take great responsibility and pride in cultivating the development of teams and writers under my stewardship.

Here’s a little snippet of my production background…

And a little of what I get up to outside of ‘normal’ work.

Aside from the responsible parenting of two small humans, I have a number of hobbies that I use to draw enjoyment and inspiration from.

I enjoy writing short stories as well as scripts.

I could watch films forever, and have always got at least one book on the go.

I’m a drummer, and I play guitar.

I like to paint and I do a damn good barbecue.

I take part in various sports, and then spend the following day feeling like perhaps I shouldn’t have.

I continue to fulfil my role as 1st AD on the occasional shoot.

I daydream and I wander, and I keep an eye out for the next bit of interesting.
