o2- Wear The Rose

Role: CREATIVE

As lead sponsor of the England rugby team, o2 wanted to send the squad into the 2015 World Cup knowing the whole nation was behind them.

The ‘Make Them Giants’ campaign showed how the encouragement of a nation could make England’s rugby players feel indestructible.

By ’wearing the rose’ to display their support, fans across the country were there with them, fighting for every ball, willing them on, being the extra man.

Most importantly, we made sure that o2 lead by example.

For the first time ever, o2 changed the livery of every single store. This was a huge sign of intent from the brand.

But the best was yet to come. In another first we convinced o2 to allow us to do something very special with their o2 Arena in Greenwich.

After finding out that it was directly under the flight path of planes coming in to London, we used this as a place to demonstrate the nation’s support at a grand scale. Live tweets of support were projected in real time on to the roof of the o2 Arena as well as a supporters screen at Twickenham. Have some of that!
